During the 2008 world-wide anti-Chinese protests for Tibetan independence, a retired Cincinnati businessman, in this novel, reluctantly attempts to deliver a secret message from the U.S. government to the Dalai Lama at this home in the mountains of northern India. Starting at the pro-Tibet demonstrations on the Left Bank i Paris, his chaotic journey takes him to the New Delhi Railroad Station, where he boards the Jammu Mail Train. He is pursued by an anti-Chinese radical who wants to prevent the message from reaching the Dalai Lama. This lively story moves from the private office of a U.S. Senator to the Dalai Lama's bungalow and ends at The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati.
