Introducing Orange Frazer Custom Books, the
self-publishing division of Orange Frazer Press.

Orange Frazer Custom Books is the new self-publishing division of the Ohio book publisher, Orange Frazer Press. Over the past 22 years, many folks have come to us and asked us to help them publish a book for their special event, company, organization, city, or even just themselves. And because Orange Frazer is a small, attentive book publisher, we invited them into the book producing process by sharing information and expertise about writing, editing, designing, production and marketing. We love to help people make beautiful books just like the ones we have done for the commercial book market, the ones that have won awards for design and editorial excellence.

Orange Frazer Custom Books packages (produces) books by handling all aspects of book production--editing, photo editing, design, printing--and does it by meeting the deadline and the budget. All books, their authors and their owners are important to us, from Entering These Doors of Compassion (for the Ronald McDonald Foundation), to Rags to Riches (for the CINTAS Corporation) to the children's book Cuando Mi Mama Me Lee (for Reading For Life, Inc.), Orange Frazer Press takes its book publishing seriously. You CAN judge a book by its cover, especially if it carries the name Orange Frazer Press.

If you would like us to help you build a book for your special event, corporation, organization, town, city, or even a book of your own, just call or email the publisher, Marcy Hawley. She'll be happy to answer your questions, talk with you about the process, and give you information about the cost, just as she has done with:

"Orange Frazer Press surpassed our every expectation in creating the spectacular 9 x 12 duotone coffee table book celebrating the 150-year history of the Public Library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County. Their intelligent visual choices from our extensive collection of photos and artifacts and their intricate design techniques made this book a marketing showcase of our rich heritage and of the impact that the library has had on the city of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. John Baskin's creative direction and attention to detail was a stellar performance."
--Kimber L. Fender
Executive Director, Public Library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County

Orange Frazer Press is great!  A real pleasure to work with, professional, helpful, patient, and all the while focused on the welfare of the client.

Marcy Hawley and her staff--superlatives are the least that I would use to describe our experience with Orange Frazer. A few years ago we were looking for a publisher to work with on a labor of love--the history of Elder High School through the 1900’s. Lonnie Wheeler, who wrote for the Cincinnati Post suggested we contact Marcy.

We did and through the interview process found that Orange Frazer was a perfect fit for Elder and our project. The Orange Frazer staff patiently worked with us in order to produce a high quality book that has proved to be much more than we thought possible.  Not only does Panther Tracks contain the history of the school, it also serves as an unexpected marketing tool. We could not be happier, or so we thought.

In 2003 the school partnered with Orange Frazer following a successful football season ending as 2002 Ohio Division I Football Champions. Although the first book was a hard-bound with black-white photos, this newer effort was a soft-cover with plenty of color photos of the season. The text was commissioned to Bill Koch, a Cincinnati free-lance writer, who also wrote a book (The Pride of Price Hill) published by Orange Frazer about the history of Elder’s athletic program. And we were happier!

Orange Frazer has been easy to work with, honest, professional, helpful with the countless tasks that must be taken care of, and on time with quality products. I urge anyone considering such projects to take a good look at Marcy and her staff at Orange Frazer. Please contact me or my staff at Elder High School if you have questions-513/921-3744.
--Thomas R. Otten

by John Fleischman.

For its 150th birthday, the nation’s third-busiest public library system commissioned Orange Frazer Press to produce a lavish and profusely-illustrated coffeetable book. This year-long project—which involved a team of researchers, photographers, designers, and computer mavens, in addition to nationally-known author John Fleischman—is Orange Frazer’s paean to libraries everywhere, to books, and, of course, to readers themselves.

RAGS TO RICHES: How Corporate Culture Spawned A Great RAGS TO RICHES: How Corporate Culture Spawned A Great
Company
by Richard T. Farmer.

Written by CINTAS CEO Richard T. Farmer, this straightforward autobiography of a dynamic man is also the story of intertwined families---the Farmers’ own rise from obscurity and the complex dynamics of the CINTAS family. Beyond the lessons Dick Farmer brought away from his own parents and grandparents, this 7 x 10, 244-page clothbound book, filled with black and white photographs, is a procedural---an invaluable treatise in which even the armchair entrepreneur may watch the blueprints drawn for an uncommon American business. This book was commissioned by and for Richard Farmer to Orange Frazer Press to finally put to paper the history and story of his company. The book is the exclusively owned by Mr. Farmer.

INGENUITY IN A CAN: The Ralph Stolle Story INGENUITY IN A CAN: The Ralph Stolle Story
by Geoff Williams
Inventor and philanthropist Ralph Stolle might have gone unnoticed if not for a family member’s desire to find out “the story of my grandfather.” Orange Frazer Press was asked to research, write, edit, photo research, design, format and print this 7 x 10, 122-page black and white clothbound book. This slim volume is an elegant example of Orange Frazer’s skill in book design. Ingenuity in a Can was produced as a fundraiser for local YMCAs (with whom Mr. Stolle was connected) in southwestern Ohio.

Author Lisa Klein brought us a completed manuscript and photographs in black and white as well as a signature of color to showcase Trinity’s beautiful stained glass windows. This 7 x 10 hardcover, 272-page book used a 70# coated matte stock that enhanced the black and white screened images as well as the original photographs.
