Dixon Folkerth holds both a B.S. in education and an M.A. in English from the University of Dayton. He began his teaching career in Troy City Schools. He taught for 29 years at Oakwood Junior-Senior High School. Also over the years, Mr. Folkerth has been an adjunct faculty member at Wright State University, Sinclair Community College, and the University of Dayton.

Beverly Smith holds a B.S. in education from Ohio University and an M.S. in educational administration from the University of Dayton. She taught English for 11 years at Montgomery County Joint Vocational School and was language arts supervisor for the district for four years. She is president of Hollandays Publishing Corporation and a member of the Clayton, Ohio city council.
